After seventeen years of marriage my husband died and suddenly I became a widow. Eventually, after sorting out my life, I felt that I was ready to find someone special again with whom to share my life. I wanted a best friend, partner, playmate, and lover for the rest of my journey.

“Twenty-five years ago my girlfriend and I explored various ways to meet men. We went to Laundromats even though we had our own washers and dryers, joined various groups, and took classes where by chance we hoped to meet the man of our dreams. We went to bars where we met men who posed as single but were really married, alcoholics, players, and so forth. I eventually met my husband at the athletic club where I played racquetball and did aerobics. We had been members there for four years, but our paths never crossed until a chance encounter. ”

Now single again, the question was where to meet men who had something in common with me and would be potential partners.

I decided to write this book to share the collective wisdom and experiences that I gained as a result of my cruising and bruising in cyberspace along with those of the numerous persons I interviewed and conversed with regarding their experiences.
